March's Monarch
Miradix

<Dariuas> Hail Miradix. I am Dariuas of AC Stratics.
<Dariuas> I come with a want to interview you.
<miradix> Hail Dariuas
<miradix> I'll try my best to help you
<Dariuas> You have been selected as the Second Monarch of the Month for Asheron's Call Stratics.
* Aldaris claps
<miradix> > I find that truly amazing considering there are so many other wonderful monarchs in Dereth. Forgive me if I'm a little shy, I'm still surprised that I've been chosen.
<Dariuas> Myself, and those who work with me felt rather strong about the application submitted by one of your followers, and we have saught you out for this interview.
<Dariuas> Aldaris will lead us with the first question. But before he does, do you have any questions?
<miradix> Hehe, well I'm still a little surprised he even submitted me
<miradix> No I don't have any questions
<Aldaris> So, miradix, why did you answer... the Call ?
<miradix> That part is a little hazy for me, all I remember is being pulled into a portal and I found myself lost and scared in an unfamiliar land.
<miradix> A stranger, a woman, out of the kindness of her heart, helped and guided me. After my first day, I fell in love with this land of Dereth and the camaraderie of the people. I knew I would call this land my home from that moment on and that I will help anyone I can with the same kindness.
<Aldaris> What became of this woman?
<miradix> I was so new to the land, that I forgot to make note of her name.
<miradix> So I never was able to fully thank her
<Dariuas> Have you ever saught this woman out?
<miradix> I never saw her again, and in Beta, I didn't realize you could @tell someone till much later in the game, and by that time, I had forgotten her name
<Dariuas> Ah.
<Dariuas> Please, tell me how you came to be a monarch
<miradix> Hmm, lets see. I never started out as a monarch, I had befriended a great person named Kylania and he became my patron and monarch. As we explored the lands, grew more experienced and stronger we met more and more people who joined us.
<miradix> Eventually Kylania stepped down as monarch and I assumed the responsibility and role of monarch. I have met so many good people that follow me, but I consider them more as good friends. And from their friendships and support, this allegiance has become something truly great.
<Aldaris> Ok, and as a monarch, what do you plan the future of your alliegance to be like?
<miradix> Its so hard to predict the future. I hope that the clan's ties and friendships to one another withstand anything the lands of Dereth brings to us. To be strong together, to be helpful, honest and caring towards everyone in and outside of the allegiance.
<miradix> But most importantly of all, to help make this land of Dereth a fun place to be.
<Dariuas> What do you think the strongest trait a monarch must have to be sucessfull is?
<miradix> I have found that not everyone has the temperament to be a good monarch. It's a great responsibility and one that takes a lot of time to run well. One must remember that these are real people playing Asheron's Call, and that it is inevitable that conflict arises between people, it is human nature, and a good monarch must also be a good mediator.
<miradix> Also you must be trustworthy, honest and true to yourself
<Aldaris> What do you think the most important job of a monarch is?
<miradix> Thats a tough question, a monarch has so many jobs
<Dariuas> What do you think the MOST important job is though?
<miradix> To be a good role model and friend
<miradix> It would be very difficult to lead someone if they didn't like you or respect you
<miradix> Respect is earned through your actions
<Aldaris> Finally, what can you advise to new monarchs, or Patrons/Vassals, who one day want to start their own Allegiance, what can you recommend?
<miradix> I advise that you structure the Monarchy well, and have trusted friends and followers to help with some of the various tasks needed to run a monarchy. Also have a means to communicate to the clan outside the game, a webpage with a good message board is an invaluable tool.
<miradix> Finally, remember that it is important to have time to yourself to enjoy the game, it is easy to get caught up in allegiance matters, and if you find yourself not wanting to log on anymore because of clan problems, then you must do something to change the situation. You are not alone in the game, you will be surprised at how good friends make the world of difference in it.
<Dariuas> Many thanks to you Miradix!
<Dariuas> That ends the interview.
<Dariuas> Travel well.
<miradix> Thank you, it has been an honor
<miradix> Safe journeys to you as well

<miradix> *blushes*
