Have you ever thought how cool it would be to get an update ofall of the threads replied to in certain forums... each day...without having to log in? Maybe you cannot access the forumsremotely for some reason, but can access your emails?

Well... wait no more. You can now subscribe to your favoriteforums and receive a daily update of discussions going on. Keepup on the latest topics even when you can't access the forums!How? It's easy!

Access your control panel, and look under the "MainConfiguration" panel. You will see several links titled"Edit". There is one that is to "Subscribe /Unsubscribe from receiving forum posts..." Click here andyou will access your page to select which forums you wish toreceive updates for.

This will be a feature available to all users. However, beinga Stratics Plus Member will have an advantage. As a non-Plus Member, you can subscribe to a total offive forums per instance ("instance" being WoW, UO,TSO, etc.). Plus Members will have the option of up to ten forumsper instance. You must access the instance to which you want tosubscribe in order to view the subscriptions page with the forumsfor that instance. In other words, you cannot subscribe toEverquest II Wayward Tavern from Ultima Online - UO Hall.You must do so while viewing the Everquest II forums.

Here is how it works:

When you get to your control panel and make your selections, apart of the choices you are presented with is whether or not youwish your notifications to be in plain text or html. Dependingupon which selection you choose, your notifications will havespecific information.

Who exactly is Mr. P and where did he come from? Why did he decide to start showing up now?

Stratics is having a drawing on Thursday October 6th for the most unique WoW character. What makes a unique character you might ask? Your style of course! We will be looking for a character that has the most unique name, dress and pose.

When sending in your entries please also include your real name so we are able to match you up with the BlizzCon ticket you will be receiving.

This week in Dereth a new twist was added into our live events. With all the monster killing going on we decided to join in on the fun and excitement. Throughout Darktide, we have been showing up and daring players to Kill Us if You Can! Many have tried, and a few succeeded, but we will not let this stop us. If you see one of us appear suddenly, don't be surprised if you suddenly feel the sting of a Weeping weapon in your side!

Along with our PK and killing events, we have thrown in some fun with rewarding some players with unique titles. Some players get a title for being the best at killing a certain creature. While others get a title for well, being the bait. And others have gotten a title for just being themselves.

No matter what the reason for a title was, you can be assured that fun was had by all. Stay tuned for more updates and fun from the many live events we will be continuing to run.

Dereth Trivia Challenge!

Put your thinking caps on and get ready to flex your brains!

Throughout the week we will be hitting all 9 worlds and asking all sorts of Dereth Trivia questions. It will be based on anything and everything; from cooking and tinkering all the way up to Advanced Lore.

We were able to test this event out tonight on Thistledown and it was a huge success. Contestants walked away with some neat prizes and a select few won the much sought after "Thinking Cap".

Who is Mr. P?

For those of you who came out to the Un-inscription events this past weekend, you had a chance to meet Mr. P.

Who is he?

Mr. P is my little penguin friend that follows me around and helps me with the different Live Events that go on. He is a real crowd pleaser and is very good at entertaining everyone so that I have time to help those who need me.

Players should know that Mr. P isn't like other penguins. He is a peaceful, fun loving, very forgetful little guy with a real sweet tooth. He especially likes receiving sweets from people. Illiana the Red was nice enough to share a dark chocolate bar with him and was rewarded with a special title.

So, if you happen to see him don't be afraid to say hi. Mr. P loves making new friends.

• You will notice a new link and icon on the categories of your forums entitled "Archive". When you hover your mouse cursor over the icon, you will see information that pertains to the total amount of threads and posts connected to that particular archived forum. Please note that any forums that have not been archived will not have this link.
  
• When clicking on the "Archive" link, you will automatically be taken to the specific archive for the forum which you were in. For instance, if you were viewing the Ultima Online - General Discussions Forum, and clicked the "Archive" link, you would be taken to the archive for the Ultima Online - General Discussions Forum. That particularly category will be automatically expanded for you. All others will remain collapsed.
  
• Once in the archive, you will see a link entitled "Return". Clicking this will take you back to the main forum you were viewing prior to visiting the Archive Instance. You will also note that the "expand" and "collapse" option on that particular archived area is no longer accessible. (However, it is still accessible for all other portions of the archive). This is so that you do not lose the "Return" link. It remains for quick access back to the main forum that you initially came to the archive instance from. This is true for only the initial archive area you accessed, and only for that visit. Once you click "Return", that category will automatically collapse, and remain that way until you specifically choose otherwise.
  
• If you visit the archive instance without using the "Archive" link on the main forums, all categories are collapsed and in alphabetical order upon your initial visit. When you expand a category, it will remain expanded on future visits until collapsed. Expanded categories will be displayed before any collapsed categories. Once collapsed, it will return to its original alphabetical position.
  
• If you wish to refer to an archived thread/post, you can link to the desired information on the regular forums. However, all links currently existing which point towards information that has since been archived will be broken. While we realize that this may cause some frustration, there is simply no way to avoid it.
  
• You will not be able to reply to any posts found on the Archive Instance. This is merely a location to store the historical information of each instance across Stratics. If there is specific information which you need and do not see it, please see your individual Forum Administrator for assistance.

Starting September 19th, 2005, all Horizons: Empire of Istaria accounts created using the .mil email address used by military personnel and families will have a second CD key added to the account for free. This allows you to play Horizons with another family member together at the same time on one account. The need to involve more women in the game industry is spurring conferencs focusing on this issue. Our own Network Technology Director, Christin "Marizelle" Overton provides an attendee's perspective on a recent conference on this issue.
