Celcynd the Mage, who seemingly lives at the bar in Rithwic, is a hero to many. It was his portal magic which saved the children of Holtburg when it was attacked by Tumeroks. Yet his failure to save the adults lies heavily on him. Perhaps it is this melancholy which caused two of his loves to move to Rithwic's outposts rather than see him on a daily basis. Or perhaps it was just because he was a rake. At any account, Mindorla at the East Outpost is having second, and even third thoughts. If you talk to her, she'll give you a letter for Celcynd:
Take the letter to Celcynd in "The Royal Firkin" in Rithwic.
You give Celcynd the Dour Letter to Celcynd.
Celcynd the Dour tells you, "Oh, Mindorla! Well, I suppose you want a reward for delivering this to me. Here it is."
Celcynd the Dour tells you, "As long as you're here, see what rumors the barkeep is selling. You might find adventure around here, like I did when I was younger."
Celcynd the Dour gives you 200 Pyreals.

Over at the South Outpost, Brentsella the Collector isn't thinking of Celcynd at the moment, even if she was in the past. Instead, she'll guide you to the nearby Old Warehouse (8.7n 58.1e) where you can keep anything you find. One of the first things you'll find is a locked chest. The key:
can be found in a chest in the caves under the warehouse. Once you have retrieved the key, you'll find a Letter to Celcynd from Brentsella in the locked chest:
If you take the letter to Celcynd (don't take it to Brentsella,
she'll just accept it without a word) and he'll give you his ring in return:
You give Celcynd the Dour Letter to Celcynd.
Celcynd the Dour tells you, "Brentsella! Why? Oh, never mind. Here, you can have this instead. Take it before I change my mind."
Celcynd the Dour gives you Celcynd's Ring.
