Asheron's Call is a game of epic scope and scale, and the character creation system is no different. There are a number of character types you can play as. Some play as powerful warriors who specialize in toe to toe combat. Some fight with bows and use ranged attacks. Still more use the arcane arts or become master craftsmen.

Warriors are strong and agile. Fighting with their melee weapon of choice and most of the time a shield, they are a force to be reckoned with.

Mages are mystical people who use their brains over brawn. Do not be fooled, a skilled mage can be very powerful indeed.

Archers are quick and coordinated. Attacking from afar, they can inflict much damage while staying well out of an enemies's range.

Tradesmen are the good people who provide our valiant with supplies. Alchemists make potions and work with magical items, fletchers create arrows, and cooks can make life saving rations.

No matter who you choose to be, it is important to understand how your character will work and his/her role in Dereth. These templates can give you all the info you need to get started.
